Show and Tell Tuesday - February Edition

February has been a very busy month and I am so happy to share it all with you! Thanks Forever in 5th Grade for another Show and Tell Tuesday!
I most recently dived into the Teacher Pay Teacher world of selling products and I'm really excited to see where it takes me! I only have a few products so far, but I'm sure there will be many more to come!

Feel free to swing by my store and let me know what you think! Be sure to grab a freebie while you're there!
Target Dollar Spot is my weakness!! I've probably been at least four times in the last month. :/ But check out all the awesome stuff I brought home! My students especially love all the mini erasers!!
Sorry guys the lighting is terrible!!

My husband and I made a trip to one of our favorite places....the Georgia Aquarium! This time we got a "Behind the Seas" tour and it did not disappoint! I recommend it to everyone who visits! You would never know how much work goes on behind the scenes!

I found these awesome sticky letters at Hobby Lobby and I've been sticking them on everything I can find! I can't wait to go back to school and see what else needs letters!!

Thanks for stopping by for Show and Tell Tuesday!!

I have also brought Chevron and Crayons over to the Instagram world! I love connecting with teachers from all over and seeing what's going on in their classrooms!

Five For Friday-Feb.10

Hey all you bloggers!! I am excited for another week with Doodlebug's Teaching Five for Friday!
For all of you out there with a TPT store you should really check out Shelly Rees' TPT Focused Success! It is a nine step course that will improve your TPT success. You also get invited to join the Facebook group which will allow you to participate in monthly challenges and live videos by Shelly! It was recommended to me by Marianna from It Happened in 3rd and I'm really happy with my purchase! Grab it while you can! Here is the result of my motivation from this course!
Animal Adaptations
Valentine's Day is next week and my kiddos are really excited about exchanging cards! I found a lot of really cool Valentine boxes on Pinterest and I thought that would be a great project for my students! They can either bring in an old shoe box from home or bring one to school to decorate the day before! I haven't quite decided! What are your thoughts?!
Housing a Forest also has some really cute ideas on her blog!

We are working on mixed multiplication and division word problems this week and this seems to be one of the hardest concepts for students to learn. We teach them to look for key words, but those don't always appear. I am trying to find some hands-on activities for students to really understand the difference in operations.  Jordie Holland's Halloween Multiplication and Division Word Problem Sort was exactly what I was looking for! Who cares if it's February and we're doing a Halloween activity? If it helps my student learn, I'm all for it!
I also purchased this word problem sort with all four operations to use in the future! Check it out at Loving Math's TPT store!
I love spending time with my girls on rainy afternoons!!
If you follow me on Insta then you know I've been searching for a comfy office chair. I have finally found one!!
TJ Maxx is my go to spot for home decor! This lovely is on my list for future purchases!
Well that's my week in a nutshell! As Tigger would say TTFN....

Five for Friday-February 3

It's finally February! The month of love! Is it just me or did January seem like the longest month ever?!
We've been pretty busy this new year and I am really excited about the new changes I am making both personally and professionally.
I have been an avid TPT buyer for the last couple of years, but I've wanted to venture over to be a TPT seller. I have made several things for my own classroom use and I just never really thought about selling them. So I made my first free product to test it out! Check it out here at my TPT store! Please be kind it is only my first product! :) Also I would love to here if anyone has any tips or advice for TPT or for creating products!

Here's my product in use! My students used their vocabulary to make sentences and draw pictures to accompany them.

It is the month of love but it is also the month of Scholastic Book Fairs! I may be departmentalized in Math/Science, but I never miss an opportunity to buy books my bank account may say otherwise)! Last year I came across What If You Had Animal Feet? by Sandra Markle and both my students and I fell in love with it! Little did I know there was a whole series. Needless to say I purchased a few more this year and will be on the lookout for the rest of the series.

Recently I mentioned that our school has started a school wide reading intervention schedule. I am really enjoying having a guided reading segment every day with only nine students on the same level. We have been using guided readers that our school supplies us with but I would really like to find a chapter book on their level that we can really get into. I am currently searching for a chapter book with an AR level of 2.6-2.9 so if anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.
It's Super Bowl weekend and my team is playing!! Can't wait to cheer on the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday! Governor Deal declared today as "Falcon's Friday" and encourage all of Georgia to wear red black to show their support. Rise Up!

Here is my latest home project! My home office! I want to get it set up so I can continue to blog and make more TPT products! I am still in search of a comfy arm chair!! I found the perfect one at TJ Maxx but it was way over my price range!
Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great Friday!
